Who are we?
Sauchie UF Church consists of a wide range of different people. Whoever you are you are assured a very warm welcome at Sauchie UF.
When to arrive for Sunday morning service:
If it's your first visit then it's probably best to turn up around 10.45am. If you are driving there is a small car park and street parking beside the church. For directions to reach us please see the Find Us page. You'll be greeted at the door by someone who will give you some information about the church and notices of forthcoming events.
What to wear:
This is easy. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. We are an informal church and accept people as they are. There is no need to dress up to try and be someone that you're not.
What to expect:
For some people going anywhere for the first time can be a bit of a nerve-racking experience. To help avoid any worries here's a quick summary of what you can expect at Sauchie UF on Sunday mornings. First of all we aren't super-spiritual beings, we all had a 'first day' at church, you'll find we are a friendly bunch, if you don't understand something just ask. We start our meeting at 11.00am. This service includes a mixture of modern and traditional praise and worship songs. There's a message for the children before they go to their own group. We then have a talk from the bible that is relevant and meaningful to our modern lives. We also run a creche for the little ones. We finish our meeting around midday when there's a cup of tea for anyone who wants to stay on for fellowship or support. We meet again at 6.30pm in the church hall for a less formal service with time to chat over a cup of tea at the end. Our aim is that whether you are just looking into Christianity for the first time or have been a Christian for many years you should be encouraged and inspired by these gatherings. We hope that everyone will draw closer to God.
What we believe:
We are a Christian church and believe that all can have a relationship with God. We believe this relationship with God is possible because of Jesus (God's only son) who invites us to follow him. We have friendly relationships with other local churches. If you are interested in exploring the Christian faith then please come along on a Sunday or contact us to find out how we can help.
Is it just Sundays?
Absolutely not! God is with us all week long and we aim to lead lives pleasing to him. We're not perfect and we do make mistakes, but we desire to make a positive difference in everything we do. To further encourage us we have regular Bible Study and prayer meetings and a variety of gatherings for men, women and children. Find out more on our What's On page. The smaller group is a great way to get to know others in the church and to be real with each other about everyday living. If you are just looking into Christianity you can talk to us about the best way for you to do that. This might be in a small group using Christianity Explored where there is more opportunity to ask questions. No question is too stupid and you'll find other people also exploring God for the first time.
For those with special requirements:
We aim to be an all-inclusive church. However our resources are limited so we try to provide for our current attendees. If you wish to discuss specific needs please contact us. Our premises are accessible for those with disabilities. We have reserved parking spaces near the entrance. Both the kitchen and toilets are accessible. The audio is amplified and we have a hearing loop.
